Community Surveillance - Advocates evaluate the HIV prevention efforts and resources available within the public health district. This data serves both as a reference and a means to identify necessary prevention resources. Case Management - Each advocate offers case management services to individuals living with HIV in their respective health districts. These services may encompass finding medical care, securing medication, arranging housing, and providing transportation, with financial aid available for qualified clients. Community Prevention - Advocates lead the planning and execution of community HIV prevention initiatives. This involves the establishment of Regional Prevention Councils that assess the Statewide HIV Prevention Plan to ensure it incorporates relevant intervention strategies and epidemiological data for the district. The councils then initiate suitable intervention activities for their regions. Languages: English.
