About this resource

The CDHD runs multiple independent grant programs and provides training, services, technical assistance, research, and dissemination efforts throughout the state and nation. To achieve its objectives, the CDHD participates in outstanding activities across five key areas: *Interdisciplinary training and preparation for students and fellows aimed at leadership and direct service roles. *Direct services and demonstration projects that encompass family and individual support, personal assistance services, and infant monitoring. *Community training and technical assistance integrated into all CDHD initiatives, focusing on individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, professionals, paraprofessionals, policymakers, students, and volunteers. *Research and validation of innovative ideas and effective practices, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the developmental disabilities sector. *Dissemination of information and research outcomes to individuals with developmental disabilities, their families, and various stakeholders. Language support is available in English, Spanish, Russian, and Gujarati upon request.
