The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a variety of services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referral, information, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers therapeutic services, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention for infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months), assisting families in fostering their children's development. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children enhance their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which is available in English, with interpreters accessible upon request.
