About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program evaluates reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When required, suitable services are offered to address family needs. This program assesses and determines reported cases of child abuse, which may involve evaluating family members and/or the affected child. It assists in obtaining counseling for the victim, parents, abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program licenses child care facilities and foster homes, and offers some adoption services. It is managed by the Division of Family and Community Services, with services available in English and interpreters accessible as needed.
