The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides a range of services tailored to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program focuses on early intervention services for families with infants and toddlers (birth to 36 months) to help them achieve their full potential. This program is structured around multidisciplinary teams of therapists skilled in aiding children in their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, nutrition, and engagement in family activities. The Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to adults with developmental disabilities, providing services such as court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, which offers services in English and can access interpreters as needed. For intake, individuals are encouraged to call for an evaluation.
