The Regional Developmental Disabilities Program provides comprehensive services tailored to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services encompass evaluation, diagnosis, referrals, information dissemination, guardianships, commitments, service coordination, respite care, and family support. Additionally, the program offers various therapies, including developmental, speech, psychological, physical, and occupational therapy, while also sharing information about private developmental disability service providers. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program delivers early intervention services aimed at assisting families in nurturing their infants and toddlers (ages birth to 36 months) to achieve their fullest potential. This program focuses on addressing both the developmental needs of the child and the family's requirements to foster the child's growth. The Idaho Infant Toddler Program operates with multidisciplinary teams of therapists who specialize in helping children improve their communication, mobility, cognitive skills, eating habits, and overall participation in family activities. Furthermore, the Family and Community Services Adult DD program caters to individuals with developmental disabilities by providing court-ordered guardianship, commitment and competency evaluations, placement coordination with the Idaho State School and Hospital, non-Medicaid crisis intervention, service coordination, and community resource development. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Developmental Disabilities Program, and services are available in English with interpreter access if needed.
