About this resource
The Regional Children and Family Services Program handles and assesses reports concerning child abuse, neglect, or abandonment. When deemed necessary, it offers suitable services to meet family needs. This program evaluates reported instances of child abuse, which may involve assessing family members and/or the affected child. It also facilitates counseling for the victim, parents, the abuser, and others involved. Child protective services are provided at no cost. Additionally, the program is responsible for licensing child care facilities, foster homes, and offering some adoption services. The Division of Family and Community Services oversees the Regional Children and Family Services Program. Services are available in English, with Spanish interpreters accessible.
