Founded in 1990, the cemetery has become the resting place for more than 50,000 veterans and their relatives. Each eligible veteran is permitted one burial plot, as well as one for each immediate family member, unless soil conditions or the number of deceased family members necessitate additional plots. This cemetery is a site for remembrance and honor, where eligible veterans, their spouses, and dependents are commemorated indefinitely. Fees: There is no charge for the burial of eligible veterans at the SNSVC, which covers the plot, opening and closing, concrete vault, headstone, and ongoing care. A fee of $450 (which may vary) applies for the burial of a spouse or eligible dependent, while mortuary fees are not included.
