Chautauqua Works - Dunkirk

This initiative facilitates access to numerous employer services such as job postings, candidate listings, and information on referrals, permits, and legal matters. It also includes economic development referrals, pre-hire testing (for a fee), recruitment, screening, job fairs, and business seminars. Additionally, it offers coordinated referrals and access to more than 50 certified training programs in Chautauqua County and nearby regions. Clients can utilize services like internet access to statewide and regional job listings, skill development for job acquisition, job placement assistance, and unemployment insurance information. There are specialized services available for individuals under 24, and youth summer employment opportunities may be offered based on funding. The program hosts free informational workshops covering topics such as Career Exploration, Resume Creation/Updating, Effective Job Search Strategies, Interview Techniques, and more. Resources available include computer access, fax machines, phones for employer calls, out-of-area job listings, photocopiers, and support from professional staff.
