Chautauqua Works - Jamestown

This program facilitates access to numerous employer services such as job postings, candidate listings, and various information resources (referrals, permits, legal advice, etc.). It also includes economic development referrals, pre-hire testing (for a fee), recruitment, screening, job fairs, and business seminars. Additionally, it offers coordinated referrals and access to over 50 certified training programs across Chautauqua County and nearby regions. Customers can utilize services like internet access to statewide and regional job listings, skill development for job acquisition, job placement assistance, and unemployment insurance information. Specialized services are available for youth under 24, with potential summer employment opportunities depending on funding. Free workshops are offered on topics such as Career Exploration, Resume Creation/Updates, Effective Job Search Techniques, and Interviewing Skills. Resources provided include computer access, fax machines, phone access for employer calls, out-of-area job listings, photocopying, and support from professional staff.
