Available licenses and permits include marriage licenses, hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler and solicitor licenses, as well as racing and wagering licenses. Additional services encompass the processing of passport applications and the management of town records and archives. Property taxes for Village of Athens residents are collected from January until July 31st, after which all related paperwork is forwarded to the Greene County Treasurer's Office.
