About this resource
Located on the Farmingdale State College campus, this non-profit center offers a safe and engaging atmosphere for children aged 8 weeks to prekindergarten. Children of students, faculty, and staff receive priority, but community children are also accepted. The Children's Center employs the Creative Curriculum for infants through preschool, covering all aspects of child development and early learning, including pre-writing, pre-math, pre-science, early literacy, and music & movement. Teachers act as facilitators and nurturers, offering age-appropriate activities and support. The Pre-K program equips children with essential skills for kindergarten. The facility features heated floors in classrooms and central air for summer comfort. An indoor gross motor room provides play options during inclement weather.
