Early Intervention, Special Education Preschool And School Aged Services

This initiative provides Early Intervention (EI) and Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) services tailored for children from birth to age five who experience developmental delays in areas such as communication, physical and motor skills, cognitive abilities, social and emotional development, and adaptive skills. Evaluations are conducted across all domains, including the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. The program includes personalized treatment plans that feature services like speech and language therapy (including PROMPT), physical and occupational therapy, special education, feeding therapy, nutritional and parental counseling, sensory integration training, play therapy, applied behavioral analysis (ABA), as well as audiological services and support for visually and hearing-impaired children. Bilingual evaluations and services are available, alongside parent support groups, family training, and transition counseling. For school-aged children, services are provided through the Committee on Special Education (CSE) as specified in the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP). Fees: Programs funded by the government incur no out-of-pocket costs for families. Services for school-aged children are covered by the school district when authorized. Private payment options are available for children who do not qualify for government-funded programs.
