About this resource
This initiative provides afterschool activities for children who are deaf or hard of hearing, spanning from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and who communicate through American Sign Language and/or spoken language. The program includes activities aimed at facilitating transitions, exploring post-secondary options, and preparing for future employment. Key components involve improving daily communication, literacy skills in both ASL and English, developing age-appropriate social and daily living skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting awareness of deaf culture.
