About this resource
This state-mandated program, available in every county, is designed to help vulnerable adults remain in the community or in the least restrictive environment possible. It includes the intake, investigation, and assessment of reports concerning abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation of eligible vulnerable adults. APS workers collaborate with qualifying clients to create service plans that address issues such as physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, or unmet essential needs.
Intake Procedure: Concerns or complaints can be reported via call, fax, or email.
Fees: There are no charges for this service.
Who can use this
- Adults aged 18 and older with a physical or mental impairment who are at risk of harm and lack responsible assistance.
