About this resource
This facility runs an 18-bed shelter that provides immediate housing for adults and their children affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Residents engage in both individual and group counseling, as well as skills training and parenting education programs. Additionally, they receive legal advocacy and help in accessing public assistance or entitlements.
Intake Procedure: Clients are encouraged to call the agency for more information.
Fees: No cost.

- Shelter is available for adults and children fleeing domestic violence, requiring a referral from a DSS office or hotline operator. For Nassau County, contact (516)227-8519 or the emergency line at (516)573-8626. For Suffolk County, reach out to (631)854-9517 or the emergency line at (631)854-9100. If DSS services are not available, call Long Island Coalition for the Homeless at (631)464-4314.
