About this resource

This initiative provides a range of employment-related services tailored for youth in Suffolk County. It includes career counseling, resume writing assistance, access to computer labs, job listings, vocational training, a video library, and resources for job searching and career exploration through Career Zone and Choices, along with the Community Resource Database of Long Island. The program features the In-School Youth Experience Program, a federally funded initiative aimed at economically disadvantaged and/or at-risk youth aged 14-21, which collaborates closely with several school districts to foster good work habits and skills for future workforce success. Additionally, there is the Out-of-School Youth Work Experience Program, designed for economically disadvantaged youth aged 16-24 who are high school dropouts or graduates looking to build work habits and skills for competitive employment.
