The office is tasked with documenting the activities of the Town Government and serves as the main repository for important documents that affect the lives of local residents. It issues a range of permits such as those for hunting, fishing, shellfish, garbage collection, and handicapped parking. Additionally, it provides vital records including birth and death certificates, as well as marriage licenses and certificates. The office also issues permits for peddlers, yard sales, and dog licenses. It is responsible for preparing Town Board agendas and maintaining records of board minutes and contracts.
