About this resource
The Town Clerk functions as the Registration of Vital Statistics, Records Management Officer, Marriage Officer, and the Licensing and Permitting Agent for both NYS and the Town. This office is responsible for issuing various licenses and permits, including Marriage Affidavits, dog licenses, taxi and peddler licenses, as well as parking, handicap, shellfish permits, and hunting and fishing licenses. Additionally, it manages the filing of all Birth and Death Certificates for the unincorporated areas within Southampton Town and processes Freedom of Information requests for Town Records.
