Youth Outreach, a program under The Learning Web, supports homeless and transient youth aged 16-24 in their journey from dependence to self-reliance. By focusing on essential areas such as housing, employment, education, parenting, home management, financial literacy, and skill development, we help these young individuals transition from instability to a stable lifestyle. Through experiential learning, intensive case management, life skills training, and a supported housing initiative, participants acquire the necessary skills to lead successful, economically independent adult lives. A key resource for these homeless youth is the transitional living supported housing, known as the Housing Scholarship Program (HSP), which offers rent and utility assistance to 15 homeless youths aged 16-24 residing in scattered site apartments. Over a period of 12 to 18 months, supportive services are provided to help these households sustain stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency. The apartments come furnished with essential items such as linens, safety equipment, cleaning supplies, and initial grocery provisions to ensure a clean and secure living environment. This allows residents to focus on enhancing their independent living, education, and employment skills, ultimately leading to self-sufficiency and stability.
