About this resource
WIC is a public health initiative focused on enhancing health outcomes and shaping lifelong nutrition and health habits for women, infants, and children. The program offers nutrition education classes, breastfeeding support, monthly benefits for additional nutritious foods, and connections to community resources.

Who can use this
- To qualify for WIC, applicants must meet four requirements: -Reside in Oregon (US citizenship is not necessary for WIC participation) -Be pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding, or have a child under the age of 5. Fathers, foster parents, and other guardians may apply for a qualifying child. -Have a household income below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Families enrolled in OHP, SNAP, or TANF are automatically considered income-eligible for WIC.
Documents you may need
- Proof of ID for parent/guardian and child, proof of address, and proof of income must be verified once a year during a visit.
