About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) provides support for families who are employed, enrolled in education, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to afford child care costs, which also includes registration fees.

Application Steps: Families can apply through online platforms, via phone, or by visiting a local ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy initiative, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copayment amount is determined by the family’s size and income.
