The duration of the mortgage is adjusted based on income; Habitat ensures that the monthly payment (including taxes, insurance, and any applicable condo fees) does not exceed 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income at the time of sale.
Who can use this
- Families living in inadequate housing must meet specific criteria, including: -Income requirements -Commitment to 400 hours of sweat equity -U.S. citizenship or permanent residency -No home ownership in the last 3 years -Ability to make mortgage payments (stable income and good credit history).
