About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) provides support for families who are employed, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help cover child care costs, including registration fees.

Application Process: Interested individuals can apply through the internet, via telephone, or by visiting a local ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office in person.

Costs: ERDC functions as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined based on the family’s size and income.
