About this resource
This program provides financial support for electric, natural gas, propane, oil, wood, or pellets. The assistance is contingent on the availability of funds and is not guaranteed. It does not cover water payments.
Intake Procedure: For more details, please call or check the website. Applications can be submitted online.
Travel/Location: The office is situated in the same complex as Coos Health and Wellness and Advanced Health.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this program.
Who can use this
- Applicants must have an income at or below 60% of Oregon's median and provide a shut-off notice for heating and cooling assistance.
Documents you may need
- Social Security cards for all household members, drivers license or state ID card for all adults in household, most recent utility bill, and proof of income Acceptable forms of proof of income: -TANF (4-page print-out obtained from DHS office) -Pay stubs (full 90 days are required or appointment will be rescheduled) -SSD or SSI award letter (for the current year) or tax form 1099 -Child support payment history printout -Payment printout for unemployment benefits -VA benefits (recent award letter) -For applicants claiming zero income, a DHS SNAP/food stamp printout will be required
