About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) supports families that are working, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) by helping them with child care costs, including registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply through the internet, via phone, or by visiting a local ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, known as a copayment (copay). The copayment amount varies based on the family's size and income.
