About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) supports families who are employed, enrolled in educational programs, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) by helping them afford child care costs, which also includes registration fees.

Application Method: Interested individuals can apply through the internet, via phone, or by visiting a nearby ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office in person.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy initiative, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income level.
