About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver crucial education, health services, nutrition, social support, and additional resources, including developmental screenings, specifically for migrant children while their parents are employed in agriculture. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers acquire necessary language, reading, and math skills for academic success, with a strong emphasis on parental engagement. Services available for parents and expectant mothers encompass parenting education, family assistance, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around child care services may be provided.
