About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) provides support for families who are either working, attending school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help cover child care expenses, which also includes registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply through the internet, via telephone, or by visiting a nearby ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office in person.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copayment amount is determined by the family's size and income level.
