About this resource
Employment Related Day Care (ERDC) offers financial aid to working families to help with child care costs, facilitating access to quality care for those who are employed and responsible for a child. Support is contingent on the availability of funds.
Application Procedure: Fill out an application and schedule an interview with a DHS representative -You can print, complete, and send the application via mail using the website -Visit an ODHS Self-Sufficiency Office in person (note that Processing Centers do not provide walk-in services) -Contact your local ODHS Self-Sufficiency Office to request a mailed application.
Costs: ERDC functions as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still required to contribute a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income.
