About this resource
Head Start services aim to prepare children for school by fostering their social and cognitive growth in a classroom environment, along with providing educational, health, nutritional, social, and other support services to both children and their families. The program places a strong emphasis on parental involvement. For parents, services include goal-setting assistance, parenting workshops, and networking opportunities.

Who can use this
- Eligibility is for families with children aged 3-5, particularly those with incomes at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Children in foster care, homeless children, and those from families receiving public assistance are eligible regardless of income. Families with higher incomes may qualify based on specific needs, although those with greater needs are given priority.
