Participants in the TANF program may also have the opportunity to engage in the Jobs Opportunity and Basic Skills (JOBS) program, which focuses on helping individuals earn their high school diploma or GED, along with job readiness and essential life skills.

Application Steps: Individuals can apply through online platforms, via phone, or by visiting a local office (note that Processing Centers do not provide in-person services). After submitting the application: - The local DHS office will reach out to the applicant to arrange an interview, either in person or over the phone - Applicants have the option to directly contact the local DHS office to schedule their interview - DHS representatives cannot leave messages on voicemails that do not include the applicant's name in the greeting.
