About this resource
Volunteers assist individuals by providing rides to medical appointments and engaging in friendly visits. They also handle handyman tasks such as installing grab bars, performing minor home repairs, assisting with yard work, grocery shopping, and offering information and referrals. Medical transportation is available to locations including Albany, Corvallis, Eugene, Lebanon, Portland, Salem, and specifically to OHSU and the Veterans Hospital in Portland.
Intake Procedure: To schedule an appointment, please call ahead. A minimum of 3 business days' notice is required for transportation using a car or wheelchair van, and services depend on volunteer availability.
Fees: There are no charges; however, donations are welcome.
