Family Tree Relief Nursery
Community Resource
About this resource
Family Tree Relief Nursery aids families with young children who are under considerable stress by providing high-risk families with comprehensive support through personalized case management. Factors that contribute to their risk include poverty, elevated stress levels, depression, a history of mental health issues, unreliable transportation, being a single parent, having a criminal record, being a past victim of child abuse, substance abuse issues, unemployment, low self-worth, limited educational background, anger management problems, homelessness, and social isolation. The program offers parenting education, home visit support, group activities, and referrals to resources. Children are engaged in therapeutic classrooms with a low adult-to-child ratio, while families benefit from home visits that encourage healthy parenting practices and child development.
