About this resource
Head Start services focus on preparing children for school by enhancing their social and cognitive skills in a classroom environment and delivering educational, health, nutritional, social, and additional services to both children and their families. The program places a strong emphasis on engaging parents. Available services for parents include assistance with goal setting, parenting workshops, and networking opportunities.

Who can use this
- Families with children aged 3-5 are eligible, particularly those with incomes at or below 100% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Additionally, children in foster care, homeless children, and those from families receiving public assistance (such as TANF, SNAP, or SSI) qualify regardless of income. Families with higher incomes may also qualify if they have specific needs, but those with greater needs are given priority.
