About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver a range of services such as education, health care, nutrition, social services, and additional support, including developmental screenings, specifically for migrant children whose parents are employed in agricultural fields. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers enhance their language, reading, and math abilities necessary for academic success. It encourages active parental involvement and provides services for parents and expectant mothers, including parenting classes, family support, and opportunities for leadership. Additionally, wrap-around childcare services may be offered.
