About this resource
Migrant and Seasonal Head Start programs deliver a range of services including education, health care, nutrition, and social services, along with developmental screenings for migrant children whose parents are employed in agricultural fields. The initiative focuses on helping preschoolers acquire vital language, reading, and math skills necessary for academic success, while also encouraging parental engagement. Additional services for parents and expectant mothers include parenting classes, family support, and opportunities for leadership. Wrap-around child care services may also be provided.

Fees: There are no fees associated with the program.
Who can use this
- To qualify for Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, children must be aged 3-5 and have parents who are seasonal or migrant workers who have relocated within the last two years, with family income at 100% of the federal poverty level primarily from agricultural work.
