Employment-related daycare (ERDC) assists working families in managing childcare expenses, which may include subsidy fees. Families are often responsible for a portion of the costs, referred to as a copay. ERDC collaborates with various partners to help families secure high-quality childcare.
Application Process: - Submit an application online - Email the completed application as an attachment (note that information may not be secure if sent without encryption) - Send by mail, fax, or deliver the application in person at your local office. The application form is available in multiple languages including English, English Large Print, Spanish, Spanish Large Print, Arabic, Burmese, Nepali, Russian, Somali, and Vietnamese.
Costs: As a subsidy program, ERDC requires many families to contribute to their childcare expenses through a copayment, which varies based on family size and income.
Who can use this
- To qualify for this program, families must: - Reside in Oregon - Be employed, enrolled in school, or receiving TANF. - In two-parent households, both parents must be employed or in school, unless receiving TANF. - Certain exceptions apply for one parent unable to provide care due to medical or mental health issues, or if state-mandated supervised contact is necessary - Require childcare to maintain employment, education, or family well-being activities - Have a child who is: - Under 13 years old needing care, or - Aged 13 to 17 requiring care due to special circumstances - Meet income thresholds - Initial income limits are set at 200% FPL, with ongoing and exit limits at 250% FPL.
