Mt Hood Community College Child Development And Family Support Programs
Community Resource
About this resource
This initiative allows families and child care providers to obtain financial support for child care services. Participation in the program is contingent upon the eligibility of the family and the availability of funding.
Intake Process: Interested individuals can call or email to obtain an application or ask questions. Completed applications may be submitted in person by appointment, via mail or fax, or through email. Any applications that are not complete will be returned.
Fees: This is a subsidy program where participating families will contribute no more than 8% of their gross annual income towards child care expenses.
Who can use this
- Families earning up to 80% of Portland's median income who have applied for ERDC may be eligible for assistance from the Community Child Care Initiative (CCI). Eligibility requires families to reside in Portland, and at least one parent must be employed (both parents in two-parent households). Foster families without ERDC may also qualify. Priority is given to children aged 0–3, families with multiple children, and those with special needs. Child care providers have distinct eligibility criteria.
Documents you may need
- Completed application and 3 months proof of income. If not receiving ERDC, include a copy of the denial letter verifying over-income or on the reservation list.
