About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) provides support to families who are employed, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help cover child care costs, including registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply online, via phone, or in person at a local ODHS Self-Sufficiency Branch Office. For further details and to check the income chart, please visit the website.

Costs: ERDC operates as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copayment amount is determined by family size and income.
