About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) offers support to families who are employed, enrolled in school, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) to help cover child care expenses, including registration fees.

Application Process: Interested individuals can apply through the internet, via phone, or by visiting a nearby ODHS Self Sufficiency Branch Office.

Costs: ERDC functions as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, referred to as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income level.
