About this resource

The Employment Related Day Care program (ERDC) supports families who are employed, enrolled in educational programs, or receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) by helping them manage child care expenses, which can include registration fees.

Application Process: You can apply through the internet, via phone, or in person at a nearby ODHS Self-Sufficiency Branch Office.

Location: The TriMet bus line 75 has a stop at the intersection of SW Greenburg Road and SW Cascade Avenue.

Costs: ERDC functions as a subsidy program, meaning that many families are still responsible for a portion of the child care expenses, known as a copayment (copay). The copay amount is determined by the family's size and income.
