Weatherization services are designed to enhance home safety, increase energy efficiency, and support housing affordability. These services may involve minimizing heat loss by addressing air leaks through various methods such as replacing broken window panes, re-glazing windows, applying interior caulking, installing new weather-stripping on doors and windows, and insulating water pipes. Efficiency upgrades can include LED lighting and low-flow shower and faucet kits. For heating systems, services might encompass pressure testing the forced-air system, sealing and insulating the supply and return ductwork, and installing necessary components like flame retention burners and electronic ignition devices. Additional services include attic, wall, and floor insulation, as well as installing skirting materials around the dwelling to manage airflow in crawl spaces. Energy education is also provided through individual consultations, energy audits by technicians, and workshops, along with low-cost self-help kits to assist households in lowering their energy costs.

Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call for more information and to apply. Applicants will be chosen from a priority waitlist based on the availability of funds.

Travel/Location: Dustin Court is a cul-de-sac created for the YCAP building, which may not appear on many GPS systems. To find the location, enter "2170 NE Riverside Drive, McMinnville, OR" into a GPS, and from there, the YCAP building is easily identifiable. Without GPS: Turn onto SE Riverside Drive from SE Lafayette Road, and the building will be approximately 200 yards down on the left.
