About this resource

Flexible Services, commonly referred to as "flex funds," are additional non-covered services that complement the benefits provided by the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) through Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs). These services aim to enhance care delivery and improve the overall health and well-being of members. Eligibility for these services is determined by the CCO and may include a variety of supports such as: -Housing assistance (including rent help, rental deposit aid [with a move-in date], utility payments, and housing programs for women and children) -Temporary motel accommodations (for individuals being discharged from hospitals, facing severe weather, awaiting a new home move-in date, or escaping domestic violence) -Electronics like cellphones and computers -Specific educational resources or classes -Family and home resources (e.g., child health and safety items, parenting programs, household appliances, climate control devices) -Gym memberships and exercise classes/equipment -Health and substance use prevention support. The availability of these flexible services is assessed on an individual basis by the CCO. It is important to note that these services are not intended for emergency situations, and CCOs are not obligated to provide them. Since flexible services are not covered benefits, denials cannot be appealed, although OHP members can file complaints if necessary.

Intake Procedure: For further details, please call or visit the website.
