About this resource

Flexible Services, referred to as "flex funds," consist of non-covered offerings that complement the covered benefits of the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) via Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) aimed at enhancing care delivery and overall health and wellness of members. The eligibility for these services is assessed by the CCO. Examples of services may include: -Housing assistance (such as rent support, rental deposit aid with a specified move-in date, utility bill help, and housing programs for women and children) -Temporary lodging (for individuals transitioning from the hospital, facing severe weather, awaiting a new home with a set move-in date, or escaping a domestic violence situation) -Devices like cellphones, computers, and other communication tools -Educational resources and classes -Family and home support (e.g., child health and safety items, parenting programs, household appliances, climate control devices) -Gym memberships and fitness classes/equipment -Health and substance use prevention assistance. All flexible services are evaluated individually by the CCO. Health-related services are not intended for emergencies, and CCOs are not obligated to provide flexible services. Since these services are not covered benefits, denials cannot be appealed, although OHP members can file a complaint.

Intake Procedure: Contact or check the website for additional details.

Fees: None.
