About this resource
This initiative supports individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in securing a Washington State ID card at a lower cost via the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present to the DOL to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: Reach out to or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: ID Card: $5.
Who can use this
- Eligibility is open to anyone receiving public assistance from DSHS, which includes both financial and food assistance. Those under 25 without a permanent address can confirm their eligibility directly at the time of ID issuance without needing a DSHS letter.
