About this resource

This initiative delivers mental health support to active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve forces, and veterans who have either separated or retired from any military branch. It also extends services to the family members and loved ones of those who have served. Mental health professionals are dedicated to offering complimentary care for at least one hour each week over the span of one year. Clients do not need to provide insurance details or any payment for the services provided by Give an Hour's volunteer mental health experts. Although Give an Hour does not function as a crisis service or provide emergency assistance, our providers can assist with various issues, including Individual Services, Marital Services, Family Services, Group Counseling, Child and Adolescent Services, Parent Guidance, Post-Traumatic Stress, Alcohol/Chemical Dependency, Pastoral Counseling, Grief and Loss, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anger Management, Anxiety, Separation/Divorce, and Sexual Abuse.
