About this resource

Flexible Services, commonly referred to as 'flex funds,' are supplementary non-covered offerings that complement the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) benefits through Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) aimed at enhancing care delivery and promoting the overall health and well-being of members. The CCO determines eligibility for these services, which may encompass a range of options including: -Housing assistance (such as rent help, rental deposit support with a move-in date, utility payments, and housing programs for women and children) -Short-term motel accommodations (for individuals transitioning from hospitals, facing severe weather, awaiting a new home move-in date, or escaping domestic violence) -Communication devices like cellphones and computers -Educational resources and classes -Family and home support items (e.g., child safety products, parenting programs, household appliances, climate control devices) -Gym memberships and fitness classes/equipment -Health and substance use prevention resources. All flexible services are assessed individually by the CCO, and they are not designed for emergency situations. While CCOs have the discretion to provide these services, they are not mandated to do so. Since flexible services are not classified as covered benefits, denials cannot be appealed; however, OHP members have the option to file a complaint if needed.

Intake Process: For more details, please call or visit the website.

Fees: There are no fees.
