Who can use this
- Workers in Washington can fulfill the WA Cares Fund contribution requirement through three methods. The first two options allow any worker to qualify for full benefits, while the third option provides near-retirees with access to partial benefits. To utilize these benefits, one must require care, as WA Cares functions as a long-term care insurance program rather than a savings account. The program assesses care needs by checking if individuals need help with three or more daily living activities, such as bathing or medication management.
