About this resource
Counselors deliver impartial information to Medicare beneficiaries regarding benefits, coverage alternatives, supplementary Medicare options, prescription drug plans, and assistance programs. They offer complimentary and unbiased counseling through various channels such as phone calls, in-person meetings, public presentations, and media outreach to aid seniors in making informed choices. Additionally, the Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) equips beneficiaries, families, and caregivers with the tools to prevent, identify, and report healthcare fraud, errors, and abuse through education and outreach efforts.

- Individuals aged 65 and older, or those nearing Medicare eligibility, along with their families or caregivers.
